✨ A sculptural glow in crystalline form, this 1970s Georgshütte tea warmer / votive stand displays an array of vertical glass pegs above a flat base — elegantly blending Nordic minimalism with Germanic solidity. The clear pressed-glass construction casts complex light and shadow, making it ideal for use as a votive candle holder, trivet, or tea pot warmer. Pair it with a tealight, espresso pot, or small teapot atop — this piece becomes both functional and artistic.
Item is in very good vintage/used condition. Please see all of the photos. ✨
⌛History Behind The Piece⌛ This piece hails from Glasdesign Georgshütte in Boffzen, West Germany, active in mid-20th century pressed glass manufacturing. The Georgshütte factory, founded in 1872 and shuttered in 1989, became known for machine-pressed glassware including decorative and utilitarian forms. By the 1960s and 1970s it expanded into more decorative lines — such as “Stövchen” tea warmers/dish warmers — that fused architectural form with everyday utility.
