⌛History Behind The Piece⌛
The Federal Glass Company of Columbus, Ohio, founded in 1900, built its reputation on machine-pressed, mold-etched glassware and became well known for producing Depression glass in the 1920s and thereafter for home and barware pieces. Its hallmark “F inside a shield” logo (often visible on bases) began use in the early 1930s. Federal remained active through the mid-20th century until ceasing operations in 1979.
