đ¶ Vintage Amber Chalet Glass Ashtray Bowl - Made In Canada. Amber colouring makes this decorative glass bowl a delight for the eyes. Glass is shaped organically and was most likely originally created as an ashtray with four 'resting' spots between each curve for a cigarette. Although, this piece of glass sculpture has many uses.
Original engraving with the 'Chalet' logo on bottom can be seen. Founded in 1960 by Angelo Tedesco, hailing from Murano, Italy, this Canadian company collaborated with family and fellow Italian artisans, as well as Native Canadians, to craft glass sculptures.
