🟠 ⚡A bold hit of space-age charm, this vintage globe lamp marries atomic-era design with playful utility. Featuring a glossy opal glass shade perched atop a lacquered orange metal base, it’s accented by a retro black rotary switch and original Canadian Leviton plug. Likely dating to the 1970s, it casts a warm ambient glow ideal for bedside, studio, or conversation nook. 🟠⚡
In great vintage/used condition. Light wear can be seen throughout. The opal shade does have a small manufacturing defect with some flea bite dents - last photo shows a close up. Original electric wiring and plug- works well. Please see all of the photos.
⌛History Behind The Piece⌛
Leviton Canada, established as a branch of the Leviton Manufacturing Company (founded 1906, Brooklyn), began Canadian electrical component production in the mid-20th century. By the 1960s–70s, Leviton hardware was a common fixture in lighting and appliance design, particularly during the mod-era boom when minimal plastics and bold hues defined home décor. This lamp’s cord, plug, and switch all reflect this period of Canadian-made manufacturing excellence.
