⌛History Behind The Piece⌛
Founded in Montreal in 1945, Glo-Hill Corporation became a Canadian design icon renowned for upscale giftware and barware sold under “The Connoisseurs Choice” label. Their partnership with Sheffield’s M. Bernard & Co. allowed them to combine Duracut steel blades from England with stylised North American handles in Bakelite or Lucite. By the 1960s, Glo-Hill’s boxed cutlery exemplified the sophisticated modernity of postwar entertaining — elegant, durable, and proudly Canadian.
